The drone industry has been defined by manual, hardware-centric vehicles, which require very skilled operators undergoing long training hours to try to minimize the risk of crashes. This means that operators are putting more hours into operating their UAS, than the beneficial hours they are getting out of the drones themselves. However, the combination of Artificial Intelligence and cutting-edge robotics applied to purpose-built hardware to enable autonomous flight is rapidly reshaping this landscape. Join this session to learn how Skydio, the world-leader in autonomous flight technology, is changing the industry through a complete stack of products designed to change the way that both consumers and professional operators experience drones. From our autonomous drone platforms, Skydio 2 and Skydio X2, to more advanced software capable of automating complete workflows, such as Skydio 3D Scan, we are ready to deliver a safer and more efficient user experience that turns anyone into an expert pilot.
Prior to Skydio, Alex spent three years leading the demand generation team for Enterprise UAS. While at Enterprise UAS, Alex acquired hands-on experience on a wide variety of drone platforms and sensors, including DJI, FLIR, senseFly, and Autel. He also produced extensive drone use case content for DSLRpros.com and Dronefly.com. Alex has a bachelor’s of science degree from the University of Oregon and is working on his Masters of Business Administration from California State University Northridge.
